About us:

BEMS has a main hub located in Rockhampton and other locations throughout the Banana, Central Highlands and Gladstone Region. The Gladstone Maintenance Department as part of CQ Health's Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) team has professional, administrative, operational and trades staff. The trades provided by in‐house staff include refrigeration mechanic, electrical, plumbing.

Preventative maintenance programs are scheduled for assets, which includes the statutory checks and inspections necessary to comply with Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards. Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services provides a 24-hour corrective maintenance and breakdown service for the facilities around the Gladstone and Banana Region.

About the role:

To provide comprehensive services to support Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services within CQ Health. To maintain a high-quality electrical trades service which supports the district's commitments to the principles of patient focused care and quality management. This position will be based at Gladstone Hospital and may be required to be deployed to other CQ Health facilities when required.

About you:

Must hold an Electrician Trade qualification and have a current Queensland Electrical Trade Licence.

  • Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card.
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space Certification.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $103,065 p.a. is comprised of:
  • An hourly rate between $36.92 - $45.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
