Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is a world class, industry-owned and privately funded terminal located at the Port of Gladstone. This modern, state of the art terminal was built to expand the region's coal export capacity, becoming operational in 2016. WICET is a $4 billion investment which operates with a high degree of automation and is committed to operating in a safe, environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.

We are currently seeking an Apprentice Electrician, Certificate III in Electrotechnology, to be based in Gladstone.

The following skills, qualifications and experience are highly desirable:

  • A strong interest in the electrical trade.
  • Motivated, reliable and eager to learn.
  • Live locally in the Gladstone region.
  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Successful completion of year 12.
  • Passing grades in Math and English.
  • Relevant Work experience or Certificate 2 in electrotechnology (pre-apprenticeship).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and basic computer skills.
  • Team orientated and safety focused.
