YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. Children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and more.

The Y Queensland's childcare services have been at the heart of Australian communities for over 40 years, beginning with our first early learning service in Brisbane in 1977, focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

We are currently recruiting casual OSHC Educators to join our YMCA Camira Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.

About the service

YMCA Camira OSHC is located at Camira State School. We have a supportive, energetic team that collaborates with children and families to create engaging programs. The service features a beautiful outdoor area and is licensed for 105 children.

Our philosophy emphasizes community and belonging, children's agency, and spontaneous, multi-age play. We offer a variety of planned and spontaneous activities and welcome educators with diverse skills.

The YMCA is the fastest-growing OSHC provider in South East Queensland, with over 50 services, offering opportunities for staff to grow and advance their careers.

About the role

As an OSHC Educator, you will care for children before school, after school, and during school holidays. You will help facilitate engaging activities such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting, and music.

Am I a good match?

  • Studying or have completed a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor degree in children's services or similar
  • Possess a fun, imaginative personality
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Positive Notice Blue Card
