Our client is seeking a highly skilled AO4 Prosecution Support Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level administrative and paralegal support in the management of prosecutions before Queensland Courts. The successful candidate will be part of a team that contributes to the government's strategic objectives in areas such as workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation, and industrial relations regulation.

What You'll Do

  • Provide assistance to Legal Officers in managing a caseload of prosecutions.
  • Liaise and communicate with various stakeholders including counsel, workers, employers, insurers and their legal representatives.
  • Prepare briefs and pre-trial checklists.
  • Arrange lay and expert witnesses for conferencing and giving evidence at hearings.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence for Legal Officer approval.
  • Undertake legal research and keep internal legal education resources updated.
  • Maintain accurate internal files and records.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal procedures and guidelines.

What You Bring
  • Previous experience in a legal administration/support role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and electronic file management.
  • Intermediate to advanced word processing and data entry skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to undertake legal research.
