We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect with a strong background in Databricks to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in architecture and design, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. Knowledge of wagering systems is a plus, and familiarity with strategic program management is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable architecture solutions using Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and developers.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance system performance.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation and design specifications.
• Participate in strategic planning and program management activities.

Mandatory Skills:

• Expertise in Databricks and its ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data engineering principles.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large scale data solutions.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of wagering systems and related technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with strategic program management methodologies.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps practices.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in architecture and design, with a focus on data solutions.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
