About the opportunity
The role of the Clinical Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients / clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The Clinical Nurse applies critical thinking across all domains which include provision of care, support of systems, education, research and professional leadership.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide clinical expertise, support, leadership and education to all nursing staff within the unit and communicate effectively with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and all members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care is always provided at all times to all SCDU consumers.

- Salary range : $ $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata for part-time) with 17.5% loading

Requirements :
Mandatory : Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.Highly Desirable :Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant Qualification.Experience in treating patients requiring tracheostomy care desirable.Shift Workers : Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and TuberculosisPlease refer to the Role Description for further details.
