Due to our continued growth there is an opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnics team in Brisbane. The role offers collaborative working with industry leading professionals across the global SLR community and is well suited to a technical professional with a penchant for business development and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work on a wide range of projects which will include mining and resources, dams, roads, rail, civil and industrial.
2. Build on our already strong business relationship with your existing clients and identify/develop new opportunities within this network.
3. Work within a well-respected team (locally and nationally) and contribute to the culture of collaboration and excellence.
4. Provide technical oversight, review and mentorship to junior team members.
5. Undertake geotechnical analyses both on stand-alone projects and as part of larger multi-disciplinary projects.
6. Undertake engineering judgement, interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement best practice to provide practical and commercial solutions.

Experience

Outside wanting to join a technically astute and friendly team, the right candidate should possess:

1. Exposure to projects across multiple sectors, including mining and resources, infrastructure and built environment. Our work is varied and diverse, so we need an allrounder with a broad skillset who enjoys tackling new projects.
2. 10+ years' consulting experience with tertiary qualifications in engineering or geology.
3. Excellent report writing and communication skills and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget.
4. Proven Business Development ability shown from winning new work and building long term relationships with clients.
5. Developed project management skills.
6. Strong creative and problem-solving skills and excellent technical ability.
7. Enjoy passing on your knowledge and mentor younger staff.
