My client is a well-established engineering consultancy based in Adelaide CBD, known for delivering innovative and practical structural solutions across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and client-focused service, they are expanding their team to meet growing demand across South Australia.

Your new role

As a Senior (or above) Structural Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of complex structural projects from concept through to construction. You'll collaborate with architects, builders, and other consultants to develop efficient and compliant designs, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal design standards and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading structural design and analysis for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing detailed documentation and reports.
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian standards and local regulations.
  • Supporting business development through technical input and client engagement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Structural Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • Ideally chartered status (CPEng) or working towards it.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design, Australian experience required.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
  • Full Australian working rights.
