Job Description

Epworth Geelong is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to provide comprehensive social work services on a casual basis.

You will work in an energetic and cohesive clinical team that strives for excellence in patient care. The social work department offers a high level of clinical support and supervision, as well as a strong commitment to professional development activities and quality projects. Clinical responsibilities will include undertaking comprehensive psychosocial assessments, family work, outpatient work, discharge planning, and involvement in student supervision.

Grade 1 Social Workers are encouraged to apply.

You will make an impact by :

  • Undertaking comprehensive psychosocial assessments and complex discharge planning
  • Striving for patient and family inclusive practice in all stages of care

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • Extensive skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to your work, embracing the opportunity to contribute to the positive culture at Epworth HealthCare
  • A minimum of three years of relevant social work experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting
  • Clinical experience and/or knowledge in brain injury and trauma rehabilitation would be highly regarded
  • Well-developed expertise in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for complex patient cohorts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
