Are you passionate about building relationships and driving business success? Would you say you were a "think on your feet", results-focused Business Development Manager with proven experience within the telecommunications space? If you answered yes, we would LOVE to speak with you.

Have we have piqued your interest? Well, as an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets. You'll be responsible for ensuring Service Stream is front-of-mind for new and existing clients, actively contributing to the creation of winning strategies, and expanding our customer base into new sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and nurture business development activities within current accounts and target new markets

  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities to drive the company's expansion

  • Ensure Service Stream is considered for all relevant proposals and tenders

  • Collaborate with Telco operational business groups to develop strategic plans for future growth and effective, profitable delivery

  • Seek out potential new customers and explore untapped market sectors

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in account management, business development, or a related field

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalising on opportunities

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities

  • At least 3 years' experience in Telecommunications or adjacent industries with an established client base

  • Proven customer management skills, account planning, and client presentations

  • Strong record in commercial and client management, plus collaboration with operations teams

  • Experience in market research, opportunity identification, tenders and transition procedures

What this looks like in a bit more detail:

Business Development

  • Develop and prioritise strategies for new projects and business opportunities.

  • Deliver presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain relationships with major clients to enhance brand and drive growth.

  • Attend industry events to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Create and implement client acquisition strategies using market insights.

  • Collaborate with operational groups to shape Telco strategy.

  • Maintain partnerships with consultants and sub-contractors.

  • Identify and pursue cross-business opportunities within Service Stream.

Client Relations

  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to strengthen the brand and generate business.

  • Implement strategies aligned with evolving client needs.

  • Foster ongoing partnerships and proactive communication with clients.

Governance

  • Safeguard company interests in tenders and negotiations.

  • Support continuous improvement of business development processes.

  • Manage customer expectations regarding commercial policies.

  • Regularly update strategic plans with input from all business units.
