Overview

Join to apply for the Accounts Officer role at Sharp & Carter. Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with a close-knit & collaborative finance team. The role is based in Melbourne CBD with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (a blend of Accounts Receivable experience would be highly regarded) and be able to contribute to a stable and supportive team in a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Processing, verifying, and reconciling high-volume invoices
  • Managing Accounts Payable functions including scheduling payment runs and responding to vendor enquiries
  • Generating invoices and account statements for clients and projects
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and managing collection of overdue accounts
  • Assisting with monthly reconciliations and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Supporting stakeholders to ensure effective financial management
  • Contributing positively to team culture and organisational values
The Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • 3-4 years' experience in a high-volume AP role (a blend of AR will be highly regarded)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and multi-task effectively
  • Experience with finance or accounting systems
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and automation
