If you're a mechanical engineering student or graduate and have a keen interest in mechanical design engineering, this Solidworks Design Engineering Internship is a great choice. Join a mid-sized machinery and equipment manufacturing company and support their Senior Design Engineer with Solidworks design and modelling projects.

The 12-week internship in Solidworks Design Engineering involves hands-on engineering design work incorporating automation and robotics supporting the production and delivery of machinery and ancillary equipment. Ideally, you will have strong skills in Solidworks design engineering to succeed in the internship.

Solidworks Design Engineering Internship Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Designing machinery and allied industrial equipment using Solidworks
  • Technical support and helping draft and edit P&ID using software such as Lucidchart and EdrawMax
  • Performing design reviews and risk assessments with senior engineers and production managers, and providing on-site workshop assistance
  • Liaising with clients and presenting final designs for review
  • Performing simulations and coordinating QA and testing activities
What you will learn during your Solidworks Design Engineering Internship?
  • Hands-on mechanical engineering experience, with a focus on mechatronics and industrial design for FMCGs and New Product Integration
  • Essential Solidworks skills and software training in 3D modelling so that you can transfer your theoretical knowledge onto real-world design engineering projects during the Internship program
  • P&ID drafting experience, with a focus on designing pneumatic circuits
  • Knowledge of DFM and Lean principles
