Electrical Commissioning Supervisor Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to lead our electrical commissioning activities on various projects across Australia.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical commissioning, preferably in solar farm or large-scale construction projects.
  • They should possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage electrical commissioning teams, plan and execute tasks effectively.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing electrical commissioning teams, planning and executing tasks.
  • Supervising commissioning technicians to ensure project specifications and safety standards are met.
  • Preparing and reviewing commissioning plans, procedures and checklists.
  • Conducting pre-commissioning checks, functional tests and start-up activities for electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing and commissioning phases.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and provide design feedback.
  • Reviewing and approving test reports, commissioning documentation and as-built drawings.
  • Coordinating with other departments for smooth project execution.
  • Providing progress updates and highlighting potential risks or delays.
  • Supporting project close-out activities, including handover documentation and final testing reports.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Evidence of electrical trade qualification or Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in solar farm or large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience in supervising technicians and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment and commissioning procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in using commissioning software and tools.
