Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join our IT Desktop Support team in Melbourne in a full-time, permanent role.

  • Create, review and maintain knowledge articles within the ITSM tool
  • Escalate system and software issues appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Act as a technical escalation point for your team
  • Review work practices to identify process improvements
  • Share your knowledge by providing technical knowledge/briefing and training to junior team members.
  • Actively participate as a value-added and collaborative partner with other teams and end user by understanding how your own role relates to other roles
  • Participate in the after hours, on-call service on a rotational basis
  • Assist with the development of standards, and applies these to track, monitor, report, resolve or escalate issues

Qualifications

You will have experience managing incident, requests and problems in accordance with defined processes and to the agreed standards set out in the Service Level Agreements. In addition, you will have:

  • Ability to resolve incidents and problems through analysis and diagnosis, minimise negative impacts and restoring service
  • A high touch communication approach, keeping everyone well informed
  • The know-how as to when to escalate incidents and problems
  • Experience to successfully install, test, upgrade, decommission, support and troubleshoot hardware, system and any other authorised peripheral equipment
