Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Hand/Forklift Operator to join our team at our Hope Valley depot, reporting to the Operations Manager.

About the Role:

This hands-on role is suited to an experienced Yard Hand who holds a Forklift Licence and a Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Licence. You will be actively involved in daily yard operations, freight handling, and vehicle movement in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklift for freight receival and dispatch

Ad-hoc local freight pickups as directed by the Depot Supervisor

Vehicle transfers for servicing

Perform general yard hand duties

Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation

Comply with company OH&S procedures and safety regulations

Adhere to fatigue management regulations and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

Demonstrate respect for all staff, clients, and business partners, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment

Work 40–50+ hours/week, with overtime available

Requirements:

Forklift licence – Essential

Valid HC Truck Licence – Essential

Previous experience in a similar yard or transport operations role

Basic mechanical knowledge (highly regarded)

Ability to work independently and in a team

Strong problem-solving skills and initiative

Positive attitude with a strong work ethic

Commitment to workplace safety and procedures

Ability to pass a Medical & Drug/Alcohol test

National Police Clearance required
