Job Description

Portfolio Manager opportunity at a leading General Insurance Software vendor in the Sydney CBD.

Due to increasing client demand for their SaaS solutions and internal promotions, they are looking for a Portfolio Manager. This role will lead 6 client-facing Delivery Managers.

The company is well-known for its collaborative, professional, and down-to-earth team culture.

Responsibilities
  1. Portfolio Management & Delivery Excellence
    • Oversee a growing portfolio of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, profitability.
  2. Client Engagement & Pre-Sales
    • Supervise and support Delivery Managers during the pre-sales process, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project scope.
  3. Resource Planning & Post-Delivery Support
    • Lead resource planning efforts, ensuring proactive identification of resource gaps or bench time risks.
  4. Leadership & Team Development
    • Foster a culture of mentorship and development, providing professional growth opportunities for Delivery Managers.

Essential Experience
  • 7+ years of end-to-end software implementation Project Management
  • 4+ years Portfolio / Program Management
  • MUST HAVE Client Facing Software Vendor, Consulting or System Integrator experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, ideally PMP
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
Desirable Experience
  • General Insurance
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, or Scrum Master
