Job Title: Portfolio Manager

A Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients to ensure their insurance and risk management needs are fully met.

  • Manage a portfolio of clients to ensure their insurance and risk management needs are fully met.
  • Contribute to business development activities and identify new business prospects by cross-marketing.
  • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders, specifically insurance markets and distribution partners.
  • Provide expert advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs.
  • Ensure timely and favourable settlement of claims by following up with the Claims Department or Insurer Claims Officer.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be capable of following instructions and working collaboratively with others.
  • Be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adapt when necessary.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, quality standards, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Insurance or equivalent tertiary education preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in insurance within the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, legislative obligations, and claim processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with WinBEAT/OrganiseIT software or similar an asset.
