Grampians Health is seeking a Clinical Coder to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. We have both permanent part-time (22 hours per week) and casual positions available. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient episodes while meeting coding volume and accuracy standards.

Working with a digital medical record system, you'll be supported by a strong Coding Leadership Team and have opportunities for continued professional development. We foster innovation in coding practices and offer flexible work arrangements.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualification as a Health Information Manager or Clinical Coder
  • Minimum 12 months' recent clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM 12th edition
  • Strong knowledge of activity-based funding and Australian Coding Standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience working with digital medical record systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Code inpatient episodes in accordance with Australian Coding Standards
  • Maintain coding accuracy and throughput in line with experience
  • Contribute to coding audits, quality initiatives, and education activities
