You will complete a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Select Automotive.

Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct routine light vehicle maintenance and servicing including tyre fitting and fluid checks.
• Learn to identify worn / damaged parts.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting
• General duties including housekeeping of workshop, tidying benches, organising tools and equipment and assuring overall cleanliness and presentation of the workshop.
• Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required

What you'll bring to the table…

To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria:

• Commitment to both on and off the job training.
• Honest, hardworking and engaged in completing your trade.
• Previous experience (whether personal or professional) working on cars.

Mandatory Requirements

• Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
• Drivers licence and reliable transport
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical.
