About the role

Surco Restorations' is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team in Southeast, Queensland. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of restoration works in residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of a growing company that is committed to delivering high-quality restoration services across Southeast Queensland.

What you\'ll be doing

• Thorough inspection and assessment of damage to properties, providing detailed assessments / reports and recommendations for further restoration work required.
• Carry out a variety of restoration tasks and structural drying in residential and commercial properties to mitigate loss.
• Operate specialised restoration equipment and tools to carry out mitigation work safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination and timely completion.
• Maintain detailed records of all restoration activities performed onsite and comply with company policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of junior technicians to support their professional development.
• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.

What we\'re looking for

• Minimum 1 years\' experience as a Restoration Technician or in a similar role within the trades and services industry.
• Relevant IICRC certifications will be a bonus, however not essential to be considered for the position.
• Strong technical skills and hands-on expertise in property restoration, including water damage, smoke and fire, biohazard and mould mitigation.
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Flexible and adaptable to handle a variety of restoration tasks and work in different environments.
• A current driver\'s licence and working rights in Australia.
• Blue Card as well as a White Card (Construction), or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Ability to be scheduled on a on-call rostering system.
