About the role

FIFO from Perth or live locally in Kalgoorlie, relocation support from within Australia can be provided. The roster is 8:6:7:7, rotating between day and night shifts, reporting to the Senior Advisor – Emergency Management. Officers will be the first point of call for any emergencies on site and provide ongoing support and training to the ERT team.

Key measurables are:

• Providing the first response capability for injury management on site
• Providing a high standard of pre-hospital emergency, medical and clinical care to all employees
• Supporting and assisting the Site Access / Security Officer when required
• Maintaining medical clinic and emergency equipment
• Actively supporting the Emergency Response Team through the development and delivery of training packages to site personnel based on the training plan.

About you

You will have a mature and empathetic approach to customer care and enjoy working as in a close-knit team where flexibility and reliability are key. Experience writing and reviewing management plans and H&S procedures are also second nature to you.

You will meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in public safety and emergency response in a mining, environment (Required)
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplined HSE function
• Experience with open cut and underground mine rescue (Required)
• Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Response (Required)
• HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (Required)
• Certificate IV Training and Assessing (Highly Desirable)
• Certificate in AIIMS (PUAEMR038 Work within an emergency management context or similar) (Highly Desirable)
• Experience in mine site access control and security functions. (Desirable)
