We currently have an exciting and varied opportunity for a National Accounts Receivable & Finance Coordinator to join our Finance team in Sydney on a permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting to the National Trust Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day receipting and allocation of incoming funds nationally. This role will see you maintaining core system data, ensuring compliance of risk management protocols.

You will also provide ad-hoc support with Trust Accounting compliance and other Accounts functions.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Process accounts and incoming payments (i.e receipting of funds nationally), ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.

  • Preparation of bank deposits for banking.

  • Reconciliation of the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all paymentsare accountedfor andproperlyposted.

  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' payment issues.

  • Reconciliation of bank statements.

  • Management of matter credits (unapplied cash) review and follow-ups as required (nationally).

  • Trust Accounting support, including management of day-to-day trust transactions, reconciliations and compliance.

  • Ad-hoc requests as required.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years experience inn Accounts Receivable role within a professional services environment (preferably legal).

  • Experience handling high volume transactions with excellent accuracy, efficiency and diligence.

  • Experience using a Practice Management System (Aderant Expert would be advantageous).

  • Highly developed organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Highly capable of managing and prioritising high volume work load, especially during month end.

  • Strong communication skills demonstrated through the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills and competent with other Microsoft Office applications.
