Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of motor claims including third party repairs/demands in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service with internal and external customers while building professional relationships.
  • Managing a high volume of calls.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current legislation and how it impacts claims management.
  • Making liability decisions on all claims in line with the Australian Road Rules.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to report progress and potential strategic opportunities to avoid escalations.
  • Using technical experience to investigate and assess claims to ensure appropriate strategies are implemented.
  • Negotiating with other insurers and parties to achieve the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Adhering to Allianz Claims Management Processes, GICOP and standards to minimise leakage and increased cost of claim.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships within the team.
About You / Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years insurance experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Road Rules.
  • Experience in handling claims management processes across general insurance product lines within a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team; plan and prioritise; manage competing resources and demands.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies quickly.
  • Interest in leveraging emerging technologies in a digital landscape.
