Our Client:

Our client is seeking an experienced ESD Engineer to join their team, with positions available in either Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
They are a forward-thinking, multi-discipline engineering consultancy specializing in building services, with offices throughout Australia.
Involved in a variety of exciting, large-scale projects, they are expanding their team due to growth. With over 30 years of industry experience, they are highly respected and prioritize ongoing training and development for their staff.
We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is proactive, possesses excellent presentation and communication skills, pays attention to detail, and is well-organized.
This is a full-time role, with options to work from either the Brisbane or Gold Coast offices.
Expectations include:

In this role, you will support their ESD group, collaborating with an established team of engineers across related disciplines. You will be responsible for providing design solutions, training, and implementing various design, reporting, and analysis tasks in partnership with other specialists.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of ESD projects.
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop performance solutions, focusing on façade design.
  • Prepare Section J reports.
  • Develop sustainable strategies.
  • Communicate requirements and standards with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional accreditations, licenses, and permits.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions to client inquiries and respond to their needs.
About You
We are seeking an individual with over 3 years of experience in ESD Engineering, ideally with a track record of implementing strategies that align with the business plan. You should bring the following qualifications to the role:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience as an ESD Designer in environmental sustainability, including green building certifications (e.g., Green Star and NABERS).
  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation supporting sustainable design initiatives.
  • Proficiency in dynamic energy modeling for NCC JV3, Green Star, and NABERS projects using IES-VE or similar simulation software.
