We're seeking a Head of Software Engineering who will spend ~60% of their time coding and ~40% leading a team of 6 engineers through mentorship, architectural decisions, and technical guidance.

About The Role

You'll lead our engineering team through this transformation while remaining deeply involved in the codebase. Your responsibilities include:

Technical Leadership (40%)

Mentor and guide 6 engineers through code reviews and pair programming

Make architectural decisions for our SaaS migration

Establish coding standards and best practices across the team

Lead technical planning sessions with our Product Owner

Hands-on Development (60%)

Build features using our modern tech stack: Angular, C#/.NET 9, GraphQL, SQL, Azure

Implement complex integrations with healthcare systems and compliance frameworks

Write testable, scalable code that handles sensitive healthcare data

Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their fit for our platform

What We're Looking For

5+ years of recent full-stack development experience with Angular and C#

2+ years of technical leadership experience (formal or informal)

Strong understanding of modern web architectures and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Experience with SQL databases and GraphQL APIs

Proven ability to mentor developers and conduct effective code reviews

Ideal Candidate:

Has led technical teams through platform migrations or major refactoring projects

Understands healthcare or regulated industry requirements

Passionate about staying current with technology trends

Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
