The Personal Lending Consultant position engages with our members and prospective members to provide outstanding lending and banking outcomes within the Personal Lending Team and is primarily responsible for covering personal lending leads to funding. This position will build and maintain an active lending pipeline in line with performance goals and will demonstrate a commitment to member retention by identifying opportunities to create value for the member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and validates loan applications, utilising a risk-based approach to ensure compliance with RACQ Bank's lending products, securities, systems, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality loan submissions and emphasises first-time-right commitment to maximising loan quality.
  • Maintain an understanding of RACQ Bank lending products, securities, systems, policies, procedures, and complementary products and applies this knowledge confidently in loan processing.
  • Manage the member relationship ensuring timely and transparent communication to provide an outstanding member experience.
  • Identify opportunities to create value for members and demonstrate a commitment to member retention.
  • Complete credit validation assessments in accordance with the bank's credit guidelines, ensuring that the member meets all lending guidelines, including serviceability, to maintain accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Build and maintain an active lending pipeline with end-to-end member resolution of applications submitted.
  • Continuously improve relevant technical knowledge of RACQ Bank loan systems and processes to maintain accuracy and quality assurance.

About You:

  • Demonstrates problem-solving abilities, critical analysis, and interpretation of data in diverse situations while maintaining a strong compliance orientation.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • A supportive and engaging customer service attitude and the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts enhance effective communication with customers.
  • Exhibits high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to read, analyse, and communicate written and verbal information.
