About the role

Two Slices Sandwich Bar is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join our team in our Scarborough location. As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bustling sandwich bar, supporting the Venue Manager in maintaining excellent customer service and overseeing the day-to-day running of the business.

What you'll be doing
  • Assisting the Venue Manager in overseeing all front-of-house operations, including customer service, cash handling, and staff supervision
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation are maintained throughout the venue
  • Helping to manage and motivate the team, providing training and support as needed
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock control
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Acting as the Venue Manager in their absence, taking on full responsibility for the venue\'s operations
What we\'re looking for
  • At least 2 years\' experience in a similar assistant venue management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in cash handling and inventory management
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
