Ambulatory Care Centre, Royal Hobart Hospital
- ACC is a dynamic adult medical day unit providing care for patients requiring treatment and interventions for the management of chronic and acute conditions. This includes administration of complex intravenous therapies, therapeutic and diagnostic interventional procedures, specialised pathology testing and care of vascular access devices.
- The ANUM will also be required to work alongside the CNC- Liaison to assist with the complex role of co-ordinating patient care.
- ACC works closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure person centred care is delivered with high quality outcomes for patients receiving treatment.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:
- Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 61 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
- notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
