Practice Manager

Our client is a respected accounting firm known for delivering high-quality tax, business advisory, and compliance services to a diverse client base. With a strong focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction, they are now seeking a highly organised and proactive Practice Manager to support the partners and lead the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and streamline office operations, systems, and procedures
  • Manage staff workflows, job allocations, and key internal deadlines
  • Support compliance and quality assurance standards (ATO, ASIC, TPB)
  • Coordinate onboarding and communication processes for new and existing clients
  • Assist with HR functions including recruitment, performance reviews, and staff development
  • Monitor billing, debtor management, and practice budgeting activities
  • Work closely with directors and team leaders to drive efficiency and improve systems
  • Liaise with software vendors, IT support, and external service providers
  • Support strategic planning, reporting, and implementation of business improvement initiatives

Essentials :

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Practice Manager, Office Manager, or similar operational role
  • Experience managing other staff
  • Previous experience in an accounting or professional services firm highly regarded
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and improve business workflows
  • Proficiency in Xero Practice Manager
  • Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
