Job Opportunity: Biomedical Equipment Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing life-saving medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical safety and performance testing of biomedical equipment according to AS/NZS 3551:2012 standards.
  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices, as well as decommissioning and disposal.
  • Provide technical support to clinical users and coordinate maintenance schedules with departments.
  • Maintain accurate records using an online asset management system.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or health sector environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in medical electronics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and database tools.
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel.
