As a Casual Food Services Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of our St Vincent's Care Services Yennora facility. St Vincent's Care Services Yennora (locally known as Rosary Village) is a 141-bed facility located approximately 29km from Sydney's CBD. At St Vincent's Care, our Heartprint model ensures compassionate, holistic, person-centred care that empowers residents and fosters a sense of belonging, independence and cultural respect, creating a life filled with purpose and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide catering and kitchen services that support high-quality food service outcomes for residents, customers and staff.
  • Be flexible to work morning and/or afternoon shifts across the week, including weekends as required.
  • Assist in the kitchen or on serving, complete wash-up duties, unload deliveries and perform other duties to ensure an excellent food service experience for residents.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team and align service delivery with the organisation's mission and food safety standards.
  • Understand aged care resident rights and responsibilities and act accordingly.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment is desirable.
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check will be a requirement of the role.
