Inland Rail is delivering a once-in-a-generation transformation of Australia's freight network. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Contracts Administrator to join our Brisbane-based team and support the commercial delivery of complex construction and ancillary contracts. This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact project, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to the future of freight transport across the country

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the administration of contract documentation, progress claims, variations, and compliance across assigned project packages. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and manage contract documentation and correspondence in line with Inland Rail standards.
  • Administer progress claims, payment certificates, and contract variations.
  • Support dispute resolution and liaise with Legal Counsel as required.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist with procurement processes and monthly reporting obligations.

  • Proven experience in contract administration within construction or infrastructure.
  • Sound understanding of contract law and commercial principles.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with PRISM G2 and Aconex is desirable.
