The opportunity: Boeing is building the MQ-28 Ghost Bat—a next-generation autonomous drone—and we need Supplier Quality Specialists to ensure our supply chain delivers excellence. This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of aerospace innovation, working with top-tier suppliers to drive quality, compliance, and performance.

This position will be based at Boeing Aerostructures Australia in Port Melbourne, reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager in Brisbane. The role involves working closely with MQ-28 Quality and Production Leadership across various locations in Australia. You will work under general direction to develop solutions for complex problems, ensuring they are thorough, practical, and aligned with organizational objectives and Quality Management System standards.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and conduct audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes, and products.
  2. Document and report audit and assessment results; inspect or verify products for compliance.
  3. Assist in assessing supplier capability and capacity for current or future work.
  4. Provide supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance, and company initiatives.
  5. Resolve routine issues related to supplier quality.
  6. Contribute to delivering the MQ-28 Ghost Bat to operational readiness.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supplier Management.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Technical Competencies:
  • Knowledge of assembly, production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data management related to aerospace components.
  • Understanding of suppliers' capabilities supporting Boeing production, including technical, service, and design aspects.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and interdepartmental interactions within aerospace manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of drawing/data systems and configuration management principles.

  • Knowledge of aerospace regulations, AS9100 standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing and cutting-edge technology.
  • Proficiency with Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies (e.g., 8D, ICAM).
  • Australian Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to NV1 level. Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet security requirements.
