Patient Service Officer – Calvary North Adelaide Hospital

About The Role

We have an opportunity available for customer focused applicants to join our team in Patient Services working across various areas of the hospital in our Admissions, Consulting Suites and Oncology Ward. The successful candidates must be available to work full time over a 7 day roster across a span of hours between 6am-10pm daily. The successful candidates will have proven organisational skills, exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise own workload – if this sound like you we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient admissions and discharges
  • Data Entry using IPM software
  • Consulting Rooms Administration Support
  • General reception and switchboard duties
  • Health fund eligibility checks
  • Scanning, photocopying, collation and preparation of case notes

Essential Criteria
  • Previous administrative experience working in a health care setting
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
