Your part in our UnitingCare team

This role will be responsible for providing practice guidance to the team, services to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS) with emphasis on the effective practice supervision of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, best practice service delivery.

This Position Provides
  • A holistic response to the needs of each individual in the family and to the family unit as a whole, to families whose children are at imminent risk of out of home placement or requiring reunification following a period of out of home care to address issues relating to, but not limited to, child protection concerns.
  • Practical and emotional support and counselling, families are offered opportunities to make informed decisions about, and change for, their future.

What makes a difference for us?
  • A Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience in previous roles, and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable
  • Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families
  • Qld Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card)
  • Be able to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high-quality technical or professional work
  • Experience in the area of child protection is preferred but not essential
  • Current Drivers Licence
