About the Role

As Sales Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between customer needs and engineering excellence. Combining your technical knowledge with strong commercial instincts, you'll scope solutions, provide in depth advice, and support the end to end sales process from initial contact to project execution.

This is a varied and highly interactive role requiring a confident communicator who can work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Based from their head office in Maddington, you'll enjoy the support of a high performing sales team while driving growth through your own technical insights and client engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across key sectors
Identifying new business opportunities and driving technical sales growth
Scoping and preparing technical proposals and cost estimates
Providing expert advice on HDPE piping systems, installation methods and compliance
Collaborating with internal teams including sales, engineering, production and logistics to deliver seamless project outcomes
Conducting site visits, client meetings and product training sessions
Representing the company at trade shows, conferences and technical forums
Providing feedback to enhance product development and innovation

Skills & Experience Required

Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline
Experience in technical sales, business development or engineering solutions
Strong technical knowledge of HDPE piping systems and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non technical audiences
Self motivated, results oriented and capable of working autonomously
Experience across mining, water infrastructure, gas or civil construction sectors highly regarded
Familiarity with welding techniques including butt fusion, electrofusion or extrusion is desirable
