Hi there We're Five Good Friends, an approved aged care and NDIS service provider. We help our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes by wrapping a care team around them and their families. Our innovative software coordinates in the background so our teams can focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional care.

We're proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work contributes to helping people live their best lives, and that starts with our people.

As we grow to meet increasing demand - over 30,000 home visits a month - we're investing in our workforce like never before. That's where our Corporate Learning & Development strategy comes in.

At Five Good Friends, you're among friends. That's not just a tagline - it's the heart of our People Strategy. We're committed to building a workplace that's dynamic, inclusive, and deeply caring. We embrace smart technology, tackle workforce challenges head-on, and create space for every team member to feel valued and supported.

We know that a resilient, skilled, and compassionate workforce doesn't happen by chance. It's built through thoughtful recruitment, a standout employee value proposition, and critically strong development pathways.

That's why we're looking for a Corporate L&D professional who can help us:

  • Design and deliver impactful learning experiences across the organisation
  • Build capability and confidence in our care teams and support staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Align development initiatives with our strategic goals and values

If you're passionate about enabling people to thrive, and want to make a real difference in a dynamic, purpose-led organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Because when you're among friends, you grow, succeed, and make a real difference, together.

What you would do and who you would work with:

You would be a part of our growing People Team. This is a newly established role where you will be able to have your say and have a real impact. It's part-time (20 hours), and we are open to you working these hours across 3, 4 or even 5 days - we have our team meetings on a Tuesday, so we would love you to attend those.

The core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Partner with leaders to identify learning needs and deliver tailored development solutions.
  • Design, implement and review L&D programs, policies, and career pathways.
  • Support leadership capability at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure training programs meet Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Quality Standards requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver engaging learning initiatives, including wellbeing and compliance training.
  • Oversee learning systems, records, and reporting, ensuring accurate tracking of participation and outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with external training providers and coordinate course logistics.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in programs and platforms.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • 6+ years of experience in an end-to-end L&D role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
  • Experience with LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, training evaluation, and capability frameworks.
  • Experience in aged care or a regulated health environment (highly regarded).
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia.
  • A successful National police check, or willingness to apply.

What\'s in it for you?

The way we work and the perks we offer are designed to help you live a fulfilling life. The work we do is meaningful, and the problems we solve are interesting.

  • Great pay that matches your skills and experience.
  • Flexible working – based at our South Brisbane HQ, with the option to work from home a few days a week.
  • $500 yearly wellness allowance to spend on anything that helps you feel good outside of work.
  • Extra time off – after 2 years, you'll earn an extra day of annual leave each year. You can also buy more leave if you'd like.
  • Free, confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Program.
  • Parental leave support – we top up wages for eligible caregivers, and primary caregivers get extra super during their first year of unpaid leave.
  • Free Five Good Friends membership (worth over $7,000/year) for a loved one receiving care.
  • We're a genuinely great place to work – our employee engagement scores are 17% above the industry average.
  • Okinawa trip – after 5 years with us, we'll send you to Japan to visit the community that inspired Five Good Friends. Flights, hotel, and transfers are all covered.
