Overview

The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SPD) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dedicated Treasury team. This full-time position, based at the Division head office, plays a key role in managing and reconciling accounts receivable processes with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Processing invoices, advice notes, and inter-denominational reconciliations
  • Managing collections and resolving account queries promptly
  • Performing cashier duties and supporting general clerical tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with church policies, procedures, and financial systems
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across the South Pacific region
About you

We're looking for someone who brings strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service. A solid understanding of accounting principles and the organisational structure of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific is highly desirable.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Must be a practising baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission, values, and beliefs.
  • Appropriate business certificate qualifications in book-keeping or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role in a medium-tier organisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Excel and Word.
  • Understanding of basic accounting practices and procedures.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Eligible to hold the appropriate license with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Preferred

  • A working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its management throughout the South Pacific Division.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of denominational accounting practice and procedures.
  • Well organised and able to work to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of MYOB Acumatica.

  • Must show evidence of current Australian work rights.
