Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk

The role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the Sydney Waste Pty Ltd team in our Smithfield, NSW office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Key responsibilities
- Process and record all accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and following up on overdue payments
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any accounting-related issues
- Maintain and update the accounting system with accurate and up-to-date information
- Provide support to the finance team as needed
What we're looking for
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity in using accounting software, such as MYOB is preffered but nor required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
