Overview

As an Administration Officer – Radiology, you will provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to the Radiology Department. You will report to the Clerical Supervisor and Practice Manager at the QE Specialist Centre Medical Imaging and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations by managing patient reception, appointment bookings, and a variety of clerical tasks in line with departmental policies and procedures.

You will be a key part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering professional and welcoming front-line service to patients while supporting clinical staff with essential administrative functions. Your work will contribute to a responsive, patient-centred radiology service with accuracy, efficiency and excellent customer care in every interaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage patient reception, appointment bookings, and a range of clerical tasks in line with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide professional front-line service to patients and support clinical staff with administrative functions.
  • Support the radiology team to deliver a patient-centred service with accuracy and efficiency.
About You / Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in health reception, administrative support, and using electronic booking systems and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to new procedures while maintaining confidentiality under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology, customer service principles, hospital administrative processes, and Work Health Safety requirements.
