About The Role

The Senior Budget Analyst contributes to the effective allocation of financial and staffing resources for schools and other department business units by assisting with operational tasks, maintaining budget systems, and contributing to accurate data management. Working under guidance, the position ensures a client-focused approach to service delivery and supports the integration of resourcing processes with broader departmental systems. In addition, the role undertakes the preparation of budget and resourcing advice, undertakes analysis and reporting, and supports the development and review of policies and procedures. It also provides day-to-day assistance to team members, participates in project work, and helps identify opportunities for improvement in budget system operations.

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
Desirable Requirements
  • A relevant degree or a post graduate qualification.
  • Eligible for membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand or Certified Practising Accountants or equivalent qualifications.
