The Team: The Budget Development and Advice team plays a pivotal role in supporting the Department of Health's financial management and strategic planning. The team leads the development of the Department's budget, provides consolidated financial reporting and analysis to the Executive, and supports corporate and policy areas by delivering financial advice and analytical support to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
The Role: The Senior Business Analyst assists the relevant Manager in the review and monitoring of the Department of Health's performance in relation to budgetary and financial targets, including coordination, review and analysis of information as part of the annual Budget development process; ongoing maintenance and management of budget management/financial systems and data; and coordination and preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports, correspondence and advice to senior management.

- Assist in the coordination, review and analysis of information as part of the annual Budget development process.
- Undertake review projects and other research and analysis in relation to budgetary and financial management matters.
- Assist in the maintenance and ongoing administration of budgetary and financial management systems.
- Relevant experience in budget development, financial management and analysis.
- Ability to coordinate, review and analyse information; conduct research and analysis; and maintain financial systems.
- Strong communication skills to prepare reports and advise senior management.
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary and benefitsSalary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
