Your Role at a Glance
  • Support early project phases including concept development and options analysis.
  • Prepare business cases and cost estimates to inform investment decisions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and execution in line with financial authority.
  • Manage engineering, construction, and procurement contracts.
  • Oversee scope changes and contract variations.
  • Monitor budgets and manage change requests as needed.
  • Coordinate contractor services and ensure compliance before mobilisation.
  • Lead operational readiness and project handover.
  • Report on milestones, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to Horizon Power's project management methodology and maintain project documentation.
You will have extensive industry experience across
  • Electricity infrastructure delivery and operations (planning, design, maintenance)
  • Commercial aspects of the energy sector
  • Contract and financial management
  • Project management and operational handover
What sets you apart
  • Candidates should have a background in business and project delivery, with a mandatory relevant Trade Qualification or a bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field).
  • A Diploma in Project Management or equivalent experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of energy systems including renewables, generation, and distribution.
  • Proficient in energy systems planning and financial evaluation principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of renewable energy, generation, and distribution assets.
