Overview

Position Title: Sales Associate (Retail Store Staff) at Kokuyo Co., Ltd., Sydney Branch. Join the new HOW WE LIVE retail store by Kokuyo with a focus on interiors, design-forward service, and helping customers find products that fit their spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional in-store customer service, including greeting, product explanation, and after-sales support.
  • Deliver excellent customer experiences that drive sales and build brand loyalty.
  • Assist with in-store product sales, processing orders, reservations, and deliveries.
  • Execute visual merchandising (VMD) and maintain attractive displays in line with brand standards.
  • Liaise with Kokuyo Japan headquarters for product orders, updates, and customer feedback.
  • Train and support casual retail staff with day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate using digital tools such as email and Slack for internal coordination.
Qualifications
  • Experience in retail or furniture sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic interior planning or design knowledge.
  • Gift wrapping and customer service presentation skills.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred
  • Understanding of the Japanese language and culture.
  • Knowledge of furniture design trends and interior styling.
