Health and Wellness Coordinator - Community Aged Care

Overview

This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for wellness – Mind, Body & Soul – with organisational, sales, customer service and administrative skills. You will develop, coordinate and grow health and wellness programs in Dubbo, supporting older people living in the community to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Be the face and advocate of the Health and Wellness programs
  • Promote, administer and coordinate a range of health, wellness and social programs for older people living in the community
  • Create and maintain a welcoming, vibrant environment and actively engage community members to participate in programs
  • Coordinate and manage program calendars of events
  • Coordinate staff and volunteers to facilitate weekly programs
  • Onboard and administrate clients into requested programs and manage client records
  • Promote local area networking to increase membership numbers
To Be Successful In This Role You'll Need
  • Qualifications in Allied Health, Health Promotion, Leisure and Lifestyle, or similar (desirable but not required)
  • Commitment to improving health, wellbeing and quality of life for older people living in the community
  • Enthusiasm for working with older people, families, carers and advocates to identify and manage goals
  • Ability to promote and coordinate programs, set timetables and develop calendars
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and client records systems (e.g., Procura or similar)
  • Experience in, or interest in, working within aged care
  • Current driver's licence and access to a registered and insured vehicle
  • Must provide evidence of Covid-19 immunisation
