Keolis Downer is the proud operator of Newcastle Transport. We deliver a multimodal public transport solution for Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, integrating buses, ferries, light rail and on demand services to create a more liveable city.

We provide all the training and support you need to be able to drive a bus BUT you need the below: (In order to meet industry legislated requirements, you will need to have and will be requested to provide a copy of).

  • A current and valid C Class drivers Licence

You will also need:

  • A good driving history (current) issued by Services NSW
  • A Working With Children Clearance (for paid employment)
  • A National Criminal History Check

We are looking for people with a genuineinterest and 'drive' to provide fantastic customer service to our customers. It is work that's rewarding, varied and enjoyable, focused on connecting communities to where they work, live and play.

You will interact with the public in a number of ways ensuring customers get to their destination safely and on time, also helping customers during disruptions.

Our service relies on a work roster with shifts across early mornings, days, nights and weekends, public holidays, and special events.
