About the role

This diverse and interesting role supports young people and their families experiencing complex challenges such as offending behaviour, mental health concerns, family conflict, school disengagement, and a risk of homelessness. The position involves maintaining an active caseload, providing one-to-one interventions and group activities based on service user needs and goals through intensive therapeutic interventions aligned with Trauma-Informed Practice Principles. You will participate in and support ongoing quality and practice improvement, lead community forums, reference groups, projects, and maintain networks with relevant stakeholders.

About you

You'll have a drive to support young people and their families using an evidence-based, person-centred approach. Experience and knowledge working with diverse cultures and communities, along with strong relationship-building skills to develop or maintain networks, are essential.

Additionally, you will possess:

  • Tertiary degree qualifications within the Community Services Sector are preferred but not required
  • Experience working with youth and families who are at risk or presenting complex issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively in complex and escalated situations
  • Solid administrative, record-keeping, and case management documentation skills
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible, and work autonomously where required
  • Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
