Overview

The Field Inventory Analyst – Cardiovascular role at Medtronic is based in Brisbane, supporting the Cardiovascular business units and field teams in managing the consignment inventory process across Queensland and New Zealand. The role reports to the Strategic Planning Director and requires cross‑functional collaboration in consignment inventory management and backorder management.

A Day in the Life

An internal growth opportunity for a Field Inventory Analyst based in Brisbane. You will work with field teams to ensure SAP reflects consignment stock locations and support consignment requirements during phase‑in/phase‑out. You will participate in process improvements around consignment management and PAR level setup with the business units.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the field team to ensure that SAP reflects consignment stock locations
  • Assist supply chain / Marketing with consignment requirements during phase‑in/phase‑out situations
  • Management of obsolescence / expired stock
  • Assist with continued process improvements around the consignment management process
  • Work with the respective business units to setup PAR levels
  • Carry out analysis on appropriate field stock levels
  • Conduct physical inventory counts
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Champion best practices in inventory control and contribute to process improvement projects
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years relevant experience in inventory control
  • Experience or willingness to operate in a customer-facing role is essential
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role (20-25% in Brisbane)
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
