Key responsibilities

• Lead on site managing a team to ensure customer issues, incidents and breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently
• Manage and coordinate a large, complex service team to achieve maintenance, safety, reporting and customer performance requirements
• Develop service and maintenance practices to improve system reliability
• Set performance standards and monitor performance and development of service teams (60-70 staff)
• Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities with the customer
• Work within annual budgets, manage profit & loss, revenue, and gross margin targets
• Manage client issues through to closure and provide feedback to the client after resolution
• Promote a safe work culture and ensure safety standards are maintained
• Prepare quotations and estimates for maintenance contracts, spare parts, installation, repair and customer support
• Coordinate regular meetings with customers and operations team; report on performance and maintenance activities
• Prepare system upgrade plans and refurbishment programs

Qualifications, skills and experience

• Engineering qualification or mechanical/electrical trade or demonstrated industrial engineering or maintenance experience
• Leadership experience in a customer service environment
• Automated systems experience with material handling equipment or related industries
• Experience managing skilled technical teams of mechanical fitters, electricians and engineers
• Strong motivation, safety, quality and customer service focus
• Understanding of financial outcomes and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report writing
• Flexible with work hours
