Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description

The position of Facilities Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of site maintenance and services. Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Lead, you will direct and manage activities of the Facilities Maintenance Group (FMG) to provide high-quality support services.

Key responsibilities include coordinating, supervising, and managing trades personnel including plumbers, painters, specialized flooring, and general construction contractors. This includes ensuring that buildings and grounds preventive and corrective maintenance work is performed, as well as managing preventive maintenance schedules in computerized maintenance management systems.

Additionally, you will coordinate, supervise, and manage day-to-day activities of contractors, providing construction support for capital projects. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree in an engineering discipline or trade background with sub-professional qualifications and experience in facilities maintenance or maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Awareness of quality and hygiene requirements applying in the pharmaceutical industry as reflected in the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) is essential. Sound knowledge of management applied to site facility maintenance and service contracts, as well as familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems, are also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering Discipline or Trade Background with Sub-Professional Qualifications
  • Experience in Facilities Maintenance or Maintenance of Buildings and Grounds
  • Sound Knowledge of Management Applied to Site Facility Maintenance and Service Contracts
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
